Corinne de Vries heads the Office for Science and Innovation Support in the Human Medicines Research & Development Support Division at the European Medicines Agency. In this office, Corinne coordinates EMA’s involvement with externally funded regulatory science projects such as those funded under Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe. In this role, she is on the Scientific Committee of the Innovative Medicines Initiative (a public-private partnership funding scheme of Horizon 2020). Before making the move to the regulatory environment, Corinne worked in academia for 20 years where she led on pharmacoepidemiology research, including drug safety in pregnancy studies. Corinne is pharmacist and epidemiologist by training, has a PhD from the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and an MA in Medical Ethics and Law from King’s College London.
